Knowledge - review of some words and phrases related to gender equality, international organisations and different ways of learning; - review of structures related to passive voice with modals, comparative-superlative, and relative clauses. 2. Competence - Develop communication skills and creativity ; - Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work; - Actively join in class activities. 3. Quality - Develop flexibility and creativity in learning; - Develop self-study skills. B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Students: - Grade 10 textbook 2. Teachers: - Computer connected to the Internet - Projector/ TV/ pictures and cards - Photos C. TEACHING PROCEDURE I. Warm up: Jumbled words (6 minutes) Objectives: - To create an active atmosphere in the class before the lesson; - To lead into the new lesson Content: Having some warm-up activities to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to interest Ss in the lesson. Output: Students’ interest in the new lesson Process: * T divides the class into two teams, and explains - has students in each team read jumbled words, rearrange the letters to the right order Ss do as instructed. Activities Activity 1: Vocabulary (6 minutes) Objective: To help recall some words and phrases related to gender equality, international organisations and different ways of learning Content: Choosing the best answer Output: Ss can do the given task Process: Choose the best answers to complete the sentences. * Teacher: - asks Ss to work in pairs to choose the best answer to complete the sentences - monitors and gives them help if necessary Ss do as instructed. Teacher asks individual Ss to call out their answers and confirms the correct ones. Key: 1.A 2.D 3.B 4.A 5.D 6.D 7.C Activity 2: Word forms (8 minutes) Objectives: To provide students with a model of a well-structured paragraph and practice in using connectors to link sentences. Content: Correct form of the words Output: Ss can do the given task Process: Give the correct form of the words in brackets. * Teacher: - tells Ss that they are going to deal with words related to the three units from Unit 6,7,8, - asks Ss to give the correct form of the words by working in pairs - monitors and gives helps if necessary Ss do as instructed. Ss discuss and share their answers with a peer. Teacher checks the answers by calling on some Ss to write their answers down on the board. Key: 1. equality 2. prepare 3. Education 4. participant 5. economy Activity 3: Correct mistakes (10 minutes) Objectives: To help Ss review structures related to passive voices with modal verbs and comparative-superlative and relative clauses Content: Correcting mistakes Output: Ss can do the given task Process: There is a mistake in each sentence. T walks round the class to monitor and make a note of some common mistakes. Ss do as instructed. Ss share their answers with their group members. T walks round the class to monitor and make a note of some common mistakes. Key : 1. Child marriage must be stopped because it limits children's access to education and training. 2. In the past, blended learning wasn't so / as popular as it is now / blended learning was less popular than it is now. 3. This is the most attractive job offer I have ever received. 4.
